FAQ
NEET UG — frequently asked questions
What is the NEET UG exam pattern?▾
NEET UG is a single paper of 180 questions across four sections — Physics (45), Chemistry (45), Botany (45) and Zoology (45) — for a total of 720 marks. Each correct answer is +4, each wrong answer is −1, and unattempted questions score 0. From the 2027 cycle, NTA conducts NEET as a computer-based test.
Why is NEET so focused on NCERT?▾
A large share of NEET questions — especially in Biology — map directly to lines in the NCERT textbooks. That's why every question on PracticeNEET is tagged to its NCERT chapter: so you can see precisely which chapter a mistake came from and revise the exact source, instead of guessing.
Is PracticeNEET free?▾
Your first full-length mock and 3 chapters per section are free forever — Google sign-in only, no phone number, no ads. The optional Full Access plan (₹499/year, about ₹1.4 a day) unlocks the full syllabus, unlimited mocks and unlimited AI doubt-solving.
When is NEET 2027 and is it computer-based?▾
Per NTA's announcement, NEET UG moves to computer-based test (CBT) mode from the 2027 cycle — the same on-screen format JEE already uses. PracticeNEET's mocks run in that CBT interface so exam day feels like just another mock. Always confirm exact dates on the official NTA NEET website.
