Why it goes with Botany
Cell: The Unit of Life is Chapter 8 of Class 11 NCERT, in Unit 3, "Cell Structure and Function". Its unit-mate Cell Cycle and Cell Division is also filed under Botany, and the two are taught together.
The chapter covers both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, and both plant and animal cell structure. Despite the animal content, the whole cell-biology block is filed under Botany by most institutes.
